Williams Family (Johns Island Holiday Mini Session Photographer)

I am so lucky to have such amazing clients with truly amazing children. This family is no exception and has one special little girl, Ava Grayson. I mean with a name like that…you know she’s going to be special. She was warm and chatting with me immediately, though we just met. She told me all about her recent trip to Disney and was as animated as ever. I loved every minute with her and her parents.

This is one of my favorites from this session. It just looks so classic.

Don’t let this girl fool you. Yes, she’s beautiful and precious. However, if you ask her to give you some attitude she’ll put her hand on her hip and flash that smile. This is what you get as a result, two amazing pictures!

Yes, I’m quickly figuring out every little girl loves their daddy.

Those eyes are stunning. Such an amazing color!

This is one amazing family. Beautiful both inside and out!

Thank you to the Williams Family!

Mathos Family (West Ashley Holiday Mini Session Photographer)

I love it when I meet families that are from my home state who now live the South. I’ve meet a few recently. I think those of us who have left are moving for the warmer climate. Melanie and I are from similar areas of Michigan and I even played against her high school in volleyball. Naturally just love her simply because she knows what euchre is. Though we both agree that it’s been so long we’ve probably forgotten how to play by how.

Anyway, on to this amazing family. I mean seriously? Could the little girl be any cuter?

“Look for the elephant in the lens!” They fall for it every time. Ha!

I love the simplicty and magic of this shoot.

This photograph is probably one of my favorite, ever. I love it when I see something in my mind and then it happens. After a few times of asking her to walk through the blooming sweetgrass, we got this. Sure, we got some in her mouth, eyes and she wasn’t too happy. Just about the time we were going to give up..BOOM, it all came together and we got it. Patience is the key, people.

Thank you so much to the Mathos Family!

Fabulous Fords (Charleston Holiday Session Photographer)

I truly love this family. This is the third year that I have been photographing them. They are so fun and I love being able to capture their family each year during my holiday mini-sessions.

What a beautiful couple!

Prepare to have your heart melt with this next one!

Thank you again to the Ford family!

Beautiful Lilly (Charleston Special Needs Photographer)

I feel extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to meet and spend time with Lilly and her family. Lilly has Down Syndrome and this shoot was inspired by October’s Down Syndrome Awareness month. Due to the lovely hurricane Sandy brushing by our state on our originally scheduled shoot, we had to move it to November. I have a special place in my heart for this cause as my Uncle also has Down Syndrome. So this session, and Lilly, were especially meaningful to me on both a professional and a personal level.

Lilly has amazing parents, so nice and completely gorgeous! They were so sweet to one another and completely in love.

This sweet 11 month old had more love for her parents, which she showed on so many levels. I was looking through the lens and would see her smile at her parents or reach a hand to hug and tears would come to my eyes. We all could learn a lot about love from this baby girl.

What a classic beauty!

If you would like to learn more about Down Syndrome or make a donation in Lilly’s name, please visit the Down Syndrome Association of the Low Country.

Thank you to this amazing family!

Marshall Family (Summerville Family and Child Photographer)

I have a special place in my heart for this family. They were among the first to hire me when I started my photography journey. They are the nicest people and their little girl, Kennedy, is the sweetest thing ever. She has my permission to marry one of my boys when they get older. She is that amazing both inside and out.

Kennedy’s parents are so sweet and so in love. Just by watching them interact with each other and their baby girl. She’s the star of the show no doubt, but everything is done with love and respect for one another. It’s so good to see!

People often mention how much little girls love their daddy. I am starting to see it in my own one year old daughter, but Kennedy and her daddy have something special. I loved capturing their admiration for each other.

Thank you Marshall family!
